Into The Wild Part 2

As stated in my previous post, I went to Zoobic Safari with Ice for my ADPHOTO finals project! My shots that day were fortunately heaps better than the ones I took in Manila Zoo so yay! Anyway, I’m in a hurry and I really don’t have the time to narrate everything so I’ll let the pictures do the talking :)

We were greeted by this lovely tiger upon entering!

The two birds on the right look like they were kissing. Cute!

From what I remember, the last time I saw a camel was January of 2001 in Hong Kong’s 7 Wonder of the World!

My favorite part of the trip, feeding the lions and tigers! It was scary and exciting at the same time.

But the tigers were so chill that they didn’t even notice the chicken laid in front of them! Lol.

After a long day at the zoo, Ice and I ate dinner by the Subic Bay! It was such a beautiful sight, these picture doesn’t do it any justice.

P.S. Quick update! I’ll be heading to the States tomorrow for vacation. I’m so excited!!! Ahhhh <3 I’ll finally be with my mom and baby sister again!

Into The Wild Part 1

Ice and I took a quick trip to Manila Zoo yesterday to shoot for my ADPHOTO finals. To be honest, I didn’t particularly like my shots mainly because 1) my lens was going bonkers that day 2) I seem to have forgotten all the stuff I learned in my photography classes and 3) well, the photos were really bad! Now I know one thing’s for sure, I am not cut out to be a wildlife photographer. Haha! There are some shots that I did manage to like and am comfortable with sharing though. Here they are!

My next destination is Zoobic. I hope to capture better shots then! :)

UP Photowalk

So I had quite an eventful Saturday! I asked Ice to accompany me to UP to do a short photowalk for one of my classes. We were supposed to leave right after eating lunch, but the sun seemed to be glaring at us and I didn’t really want to shoot under the scorching heat so we chilled at my place for a bit. When a few friendly clouds started to pop up, we decided to go.

image

Of course there was the usual traffic, but that didn’t bother us as we had this lovely album to sing along to. Hee!

image

And being the ultimate fan girl that I am, I didn’t pass up an opportunity of snagging a photo of their enormous billboard along C5 road. (Sorry, Niall, for accidentally cutting you off. You know I love you!)

Upon reaching UP, we actually didn’t know where to go! We eventually found a big field where a lot of people are hanging around and parked the car right by it.

image

A bunch of kids asked me to take a picture of them, which I gladly did! Haha, cuties!

image

Look at this cute kid playing with a ball all by himself. I wanted to play with him but I’m afraid I might scare him away!

Some skater boys..

And surprisingly, a skater dog! How adorable!

After walking around for a bit, we finally got around to visiting The Oblation, which was one of the main reasons why I opted to shoot at UP in the first place. To my pleasant surprise, my photography professor actually liked my shots! I’m kilig!

Ice and I capped off the day with Mang Larry’s famous isaw, cups of our favorite milk tea and Celeste & Jesse Forever (which is a must-watch, by the way).

A Day in the Life

I had a project in Advanced Photography class wherein we had to take portrait shots of a single person and present it to class. Being the crammer that I am, I did my homework a day before it was due. I had no time to scout for models so I asked my sister, Negene, to do it for me instead.

I couldn’t think of a theme for this project, so I chose the most gasgas one - A Day in the Life of Negene

This is the full-body shot, my least favorite in the set mainly because it has awful lighting. I had to shoot fast cause my camera was running out of battery and the whole village was out of power (great timing, right?). My professor liked this photo cause of the tree behind her, though! He said she looked like she’s wearing a big crown.

Fun fact: That longboard she’s standing on isn’t hers. She was supposed to use her own skateboard, but one of our neighbors approached us and asked my sister if she wanted to try his longboard. Apparently, the man owned a skateshop somewhere in Makati. He gave us his card and even told us that he’d give us discounts if we want something in his shop! Ha! The perks of being neighbors with businessmen :p

image

This is supposed to be the half-body shot - supposed to, being the operative word. I don’t think I did it properly, lol. Here, I just made my sister sit in one of the benches around our area! I like this photo cause she looks pretty in it!

image

This one’s the close-up shot. It’s actually my favorite cause I liked how the colors turned out! I had to force her to swim in the clubhouse but she gladly agreed to do so, anyway! :)

So what did you think of the pictures? :) I really need someone’s opinion cause I want to do good in this class!

My view when I was in the plane going to LA :-)
